Rare, in mountain beechwoods from 1200 to 1300m; flowers mid July to mid-August.

First found in the Marche on M.  Catria in 1990 by Richard Lorenz. 

Also recorded  for Castelsantangelo (MC) in the Sibillini Mountains in 2009.

Very likely present in most beechwoods of the Marche at altitudes over 1000m.
