GOODYERA REPENS  R. Br. in W.T. Aiton

Last updated 03/08/2014

Rare in areas subjected to reforestation with Pinus nigra. Reported in 1985 by Alessandro Alessandrini for the Sibillini Mountains in a wood near Montegallo, south of Mount Vettore (AP). Mario Iannotti posted on AMINT a photo of a plant still in bud, which he found in July 2013 in the vicinty of Ussita (MC). Two independent reports proved the presence of the species in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino too:  Loris Bagli informed me that Simone Morolli found the species on Mount Carpegna (PU) on 11 July 2014, while  the same site was reported on the GIROS Forum by Francesco La Ragione, who had found the species only two days later on 13 July 2014.
