Sporadic in mountain
meadows or at the edges of open woods from 1200 to 1500m on M.
Catria, M. Nerone and M. Vermenone. Known from a dozen of sites only. Flowers from the end of May to mid-June.
First recorded in 1979 by A.J.B. Brilli-Cattarini.
Nazzareno Simoncelli
showed me a fine population on M. Acuto (M. Catria, PU) on 7 May
2011, but all the plants were were still in bud on that date.
The pictures of the fully flowering plants below were taken from
the same population on 10 May 2010.
